Cruelty
In most countries, cruelty to wild animals is illegal. Cruelty laws may be enforced by local police, government agencies, humane societies and other organizations. Animals in the wild are protected from harassment, chasing and physical abuse. Animals in private collections, zoos and circuses may not be harassed, abused or neglected. If you want to learn more about what constitutes cruelty and persecution in your area or if you are concerned about the welfare of an animal or animals, contact a government agency, local humane society or police.
